All 3rd-5th graders are eligible to participate in the Texas Bluebonnet Award program. Each year, a committee of librarians, teachers, parents and students select twenty books to comprise the list. The books are of varied reading and interest levels as well as genres. The list includes chapter books, picture books, nonfiction, poetry, and more. Students who read at least five of the books receive a dogtag, are invited to vote for their favorite title in January, and attend the Bluebonnet Bash in February. The votes are tabulated from all over the state of Texas, and the winning author receives an award at the annual Texas Library Association meeting.

I think “Wonder” should have won,but “Ten Rules” was pretty good too.
Many people agree with you. Wonder was a heartfelt and fun read. Ten Rules was shorter, however, and most likely won because more people read it.
Wonder is my favorite book! Have you read Out of My Mind? It is a lot like Wonder and is a great book.
