April is Poetry Month

April is poetry month!  One of my absolutely favorite poets is Shel Silverstein. Here is one of his library-inspired poems:

Overdue

What do I do? What do I do?

This library book is 42 years overdue.

I admit that it’s mine, but I can’t pay the fine – should I turn it in or hide it again?

What do I do? What do I do?

Don’t forget to stop by the bulletin board in front of the library to see a new poem or cover of a poetry book every day!
