Wow! The last week has been a busy one in the Fielder Library. On Thursday we had our Literacy Night. Students were amazed by magician Chad Chesmark about the “Magic of Reading!” They also got to participate in reader’s theater, play games, and recite their own poetry! A HUGE thank you goes out to our generous PTA for providing the funds for the magician and the brag tags! Watch the Animoto below to see some of the creative book character costumes.
Yesterday students in grades K-3 heard a presentation from poet Brod Bagert! He showed us all how to read with emotion and truly enjoy performing poetry.
The spring semester has started out full-speed here in the library! In the next month, we will have Bluebonnet voting, Bluebonnet Bash, the first annual Literacy Night, and a visit from the poet Brod Bagert!
